Chandler (boy)

• I love the sound of it. It just sound fresh and happy. I can't picture a sad child with this name. My only wish is that the Friends association will fade away in the future..
• Chandler Glenn: Chandler is cute for a boy or a girl, but I prefer it for boys; Glenn is the middle name of my brother-in-law's father, and I thought it went very well with Chandler.
• Chandler Patrick: just a fantastic name....but becoming too popular. Too bad.

Chandler is an English surname denoting one who sold candles, or, in large medieval households, was the one in charege of candles and wax. As a first name it became popular in the 1990s after it was introduced in the American sitcom Friends. It is most often used for boys, but occasionally found on girls as well.
